I have several customs I am currently working on, as each is finished, I will post how I made them and other relevant information. Right now, there isn't much here as you can see! If you would like to buy or trade for an existing custom, feel free to contact me via E-Mail! The pony may, or may not be available depending on if it's already been auctioned off or traded.
I do customs not only for myself, but others as well. If you would like to order your own custom pony made, we can work something out I'm sure. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions I haven't answered here.
Pearlized Baby Mimic
I must apologize for the poor quality of the photographs. I am still learning how to take a digital picture best and have the lighting just right. It's tough because if your too far away, things darken, too close, things blur. Anyway, the idea came to me, I've never seen any baby mimics! Much less a pearlized one. The idea came while I was angsting over two auctions I wanted to bid on, but knew I could never afford. Pearlized babies, and mimic. Always they go into $40 or more US and if you convert that into CAD, that's more like $100 for me. She was made using a nice baby noddins [for some reason there are zillions of baby noddins out there, all in great shape usually]
I began by painstakingly seperating out the four colors I would need to make her rainbow mane and tail, then rerooting. I painted her with mixed green, yellow and white folk art paint as close to mimics real color as I could get, although she looks much darker in the pictures. Then several layers of pearlescent nailpolish was used over her entire body. One last layer was put over her body once the eyes and symbols were painted on, so they too would be sealed, as well as having a slight sheen of their own, just like real pearlized babies.
